Description

We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer to oversee and supervise civil and road construction activities at our project sites in Chhattisgarh. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring proper execution of works as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor day-to-day road construction activities at the project site.
• Execute construction works as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, QA/QC Engineers, Surveyors, and subcontractors.
• Supervise earthwork, GSB, WMM, DBM, BC, drainage, culverts, shoulders, and other highway construction activities.
• Check line, level, alignment, dimensions, and quantity of executed works.
• Coordinate with the Survey Team for setting out and checking levels and alignment.
• Monitor manpower, materials, machinery, and equipment required for daily activities.
• Ensure proper utilization of construction materials and minimize material wastage.
• Coordinate with the QA/QC team for inspections, testing, and quality control.
• Monitor work progress and ensure activities are completed within the planned schedule.
• Identify site issues and coordinate with the Project Manager for timely resolution.
• Check contractor and subcontractor work and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Maintain daily progress records, site measurements, and quantity records.
• Prepare daily work reports and progress updates for the Project Manager.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintain safe working conditions at the site.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of road and highway construction practices.
• Good understanding of earthwork, GSB, WMM, bituminous works, drainage, and pavement construction.
• Ability to read and understand civil drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Knowledge of construction measurement and quantity estimation.
• Ability to coordinate manpower, materials, machinery, and subcontractors.
• Good knowledge of quality control and construction safety procedures.
• Good communication, coordination, and site management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Basic computer knowledge for maintaining site records and reports.

Eligibility

• Qualification: Any Civil Degree / Diploma
• Experience: Minimum 3+ Years in Road Construction
• Relevant Experience: Experience in Highway / Road Construction preferred
