Description

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Project Manager to manage road and highway construction projects in Chhattisgarh. The candidate will be responsible for overall project execution, planning, coordination, quality, safety, resource management, and timely completion of assigned works as per contractual and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise overall road and highway construction project activities.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor project execution as per approved work programs and schedules.
• Coordinate with the Client, Consultant, Project Director, Engineers, QA/QC Team, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure construction activities are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and contractual requirements.
• Monitor project progress, productivity, resource utilization, and key milestones.
• Plan and manage manpower, materials, machinery, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Supervise major activities including earthwork, GSB, WMM, DBM, BC, drainage, structures, and other highway works.
• Coordinate with the Plant, Mechanical, Stores, Procurement, Survey, and QA/QC teams for smooth project execution.
• Monitor project costs, material consumption, equipment utilization, and minimize unnecessary expenditure.
• Review daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and take corrective action wherever required.
• Ensure compliance with project quality standards, inspection procedures, and approved quality plans.
• Ensure implementation of health, safety, and environmental requirements at the project site.
• Identify project risks, delays, and site constraints and coordinate appropriate corrective measures.
• Review subcontractor performance and ensure timely completion of assigned works.
• Attend project review meetings and provide regular progress updates to senior management.
• Maintain proper project documentation, records, measurements, and correspondence.
• Support billing, quantity verification, variation, and contractual documentation activities.
• Ensure timely completion of project activities while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of road and highway construction projects.
• Good understanding of project planning, execution, monitoring, and resource management.
• Knowledge of earthwork, GSB, WMM, DBM, BC, drainage, and highway construction activities.
• Ability to manage multidisciplinary site teams and subcontractors.
• Strong project coordination, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze project progress and implement corrective actions.
• Good understanding of quality control and construction safety requirements.
• Knowledge of project documentation, measurements, billing, and reporting.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple project priorities.
• Good computer knowledge and proficiency in MS Office and project reporting tools.
