Description

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Store Incharge to manage material and inventory operations at our project/store location in Durg. The candidate will be responsible for proper receipt, storage, issue, record keeping, and control of construction materials, tools, equipment, and other project-related items.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day store and inventory operations at the project site.
• Receive construction materials, equipment, tools, spare parts, and other items.
• Verify received materials against purchase orders, delivery challans, and invoices.
• Conduct physical inspection and coordinate with the concerned department for material verification.
• Maintain proper records of material receipts, issues, returns, and stock balances.
• Issue materials to site teams against authorized Material Requisition / Issue Slips.
• Maintain stock registers and ensure accurate inventory records.
• Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
• Ensure proper storage, identification, stacking, and preservation of materials.
• Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and inform management about material requirements.
• Coordinate with Purchase, Accounts, Site Engineers, Project Manager, and other departments.
• Maintain records of cement, steel, bitumen, aggregates, fuel-related items, spare parts, tools, and other construction materials as applicable.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safety within the store area.
• Monitor slow-moving, damaged, excess, and obsolete materials and report them to management.
• Maintain proper documentation for material transfers between projects and stores.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock and inventory reports.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures for material control and inventory management.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Good knowledge of construction materials and project store operations.
• Experience in handling stores for road and highway construction projects.
• Good understanding of inventory management and stock control.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Good knowledge of Material Receipt Notes, Material Issue Slips, Delivery Challans, and stock registers.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of computers and MS Excel.
• Experience with ERP-based inventory/store management will be an advantage.
• Ability to manage store activities independently and maintain proper discipline.

• Relevant Experience: Experience in Road / Highway Construction Store Management preferred
