Description

We are looking for an experienced Bituminous Laying Engineer to supervise and manage bituminous road construction activities at our project sites in Chhattisgarh. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring proper execution, quality, productivity, and timely completion of bituminous works as per approved specifications and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor day-to-day bituminous laying operations at the project site.
• Ensure proper execution of DBM, BC, BM, SDBC and other bituminous works as per project specifications.
• Monitor asphalt plant production, material temperature, transportation, and paving operations.
• Ensure proper coordination between the Hot Mix Plant, Paver, Roller, Tippers, and site team.
• Monitor laying temperature, layer thickness, width, levels, camber, and surface finish.
• Ensure proper rolling and compaction as per approved methodology and project requirements.
• Coordinate with the QA/QC team for quality control and field testing.
• Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage during bituminous laying.
• Check equipment availability and coordinate with the mechanical team for breakdowns and maintenance.
• Maintain daily records of production, laying quantity, equipment utilization, and work progress.
• Ensure compliance with approved method statements, drawings, specifications, and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers, Project Manager, QA/QC Engineers, Plant Team, and Survey Team.
• Prepare and submit daily progress reports to the Project Manager.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Good knowledge of highway and road construction activities.
• Strong knowledge of bituminous laying and asphalt paving operations.
• Knowledge of DBM, BC, BM, SDBC and related bituminous works.
• Understanding of asphalt paver, tandem roller, pneumatic roller and related equipment.
• Knowledge of bituminous material temperature control and compaction requirements.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, and method statements.
• Good coordination, communication, and site management skills.
• Ability to manage work under tight project schedules.
• Knowledge of construction safety and quality control procedures.

• Qualification: Any Civil Degree / Diploma
• Experience: Minimum 3+ Years in Road Construction
• Relevant Experience: Experience in Bituminous Road / Highway Construction preferred
