Description

We are looking for an experienced Bituminous Laying Supervisor to supervise and coordinate bituminous road construction activities at project sites. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring proper execution of bituminous laying work as per project specifications, quality requirements, and approved work procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day bituminous laying and road construction activities.
• Coordinate with site engineers, operators, workers, and project teams for smooth execution of work.
• Monitor asphalt/bituminous material laying, spreading, and compaction activities.
• Ensure proper preparation of the road surface before bituminous laying.
• Monitor paver, roller, and other road construction equipment during operations.
• Ensure proper sequence and coordination between paver and compaction teams.
• Monitor material temperature, laying thickness, alignment, levels, and surface finish as instructed by the site engineer.
• Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, and site instructions.
• Coordinate with the laboratory/quality team for required quality checks and testing.
• Maintain daily records of work progress, material consumption, and equipment utilization.
• Report site issues, delays, material shortages, and equipment requirements to the concerned engineer.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and safe working practices at the work site.

Required Skills

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in road construction.
• Practical experience in bituminous road laying works.
• Basic knowledge of asphalt paver, rollers, and related road construction equipment.
• Good understanding of road construction activities and site coordination.
• Ability to manage workers and coordinate with site teams.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work on-site and in field conditions.

Preferred Experience

Candidates having experience in Highway, Road, EPC, or Civil Infrastructure Projects will be preferred.
